Terms of Use

These conditions govern use of the Walker County Criminal History website. Visiting content or using a search feature means the user accepts them. Anyone who does not agree should discontinue use.

NO FCRA USE. This privately operated website has no government affiliation. It and its advertising partners do not provide a service for credit, employment, insurance, tenant, or other decisions governed by the Fair Credit Reporting Act. The content routes readers to Walker County and Texas record sources. It is neither a private investigation service nor a consumer reporting agency.

1. What This Website Is

This is a private reference site, independent of every court, sheriff, police department, and state agency. It does not store official records, perform official checks, retrieve a private file, or file documents.

Its purpose is to identify custodians such as the Walker County Sheriff's Office, trial court clerks, Texas Department of Public Safety, and Texas Public Sex Offender Registry, along with optional outside tools.

2. Rules for Using This Site

You agree that you will not:

  • Break any federal, state, or local law while using this site
  • Use information you find here to stalk, harass, or threaten anyone
  • Base hiring, housing, lending, or insurance decisions on content from this site
  • Try to break into our systems or gain access you are not supposed to have
  • Run bots, scrapers, or automated tools against our pages
  • Do anything that slows the site down or blocks other people from using it

3. No Harassment, Stalking, or Discrimination

Information obtained here or through a linked tool must not be used to stalk, harass, threaten, intimidate, or unlawfully discriminate. Texas Code of Criminal Procedure Chapter 62 restricts misuse of Texas Public Sex Offender Registry information. Registry data supports public safety awareness and never authorizes confrontation or vigilante conduct.

4. We Are Not a Consumer Reporting Agency

We are not a consumer reporting agency under the FCRA and do not generate a credit report, background check, or consumer report. Neither the site nor an advertising partner offers a tool designed for a decision regulated by the FCRA. Users agree not to use information here or from a linked tool to:

  • Decide whether to hire or fire someone
  • Screen potential renters or housing applicants
  • Judge creditworthiness or set insurance premiums
  • Determine who qualifies for licenses, permits, or government programs
  • Do anything else that falls under FCRA rules

A legally regulated screening need must be handled through the proper official or FCRA-compliant provider, not through this website.

5. No Legal Advice

Nothing here is legal advice. General descriptions of Walker County records cannot determine how a charge, warrant, judgment, expunction, or nondisclosure rule applies to one person. Consult a licensed Texas attorney for that advice.

6. No Warranties

All content and functions are provided "as is." There is no guarantee that:

  • The information here is accurate, complete, or current at any given time
  • The site will stay up and running without interruptions
  • Our pages are free of errors, bugs, or security holes
  • Results from our partner search tools will be thorough or accurate

Charges, custody, outcomes, expunctions, and access rules can change. Gaps and delay are possible, and no content here is an official statement from a court, sheriff, or other public body.

7. Third-Party Services and Links

Links may lead to sheriff, clerk, court, state, legal-service, or outside search pages. Those destinations are independently controlled. We are not responsible for their content, availability, prices, security, or data practices. Their terms should be reviewed before use.

8. Intellectual Property

Text, graphics, logos, and code belong to Walker County Criminal History or its content partners. They may not be copied, changed, distributed, or used to create derivative work without prior written permission.

9. Limits on Our Liability

To the fullest extent allowed by law, we are not liable for damages arising from use of the website, its content, or any linked service.

10. Indemnification

A user agrees to indemnify and hold us harmless from claims, demands, or actions caused by that user's conduct or breach of these terms, including related legal costs.

11. Governing Law

Texas law governs these terms, including applicable provisions of the Texas Business and Commerce Code and Government Code Chapter 411 concerning criminal-history dissemination. A dispute connected to website use must be brought in a court located in Texas.

12. Changes to These Terms

These terms may be revised. A new version takes effect when it is posted on this page.

13. Cutting Off Access

Access may be limited or ended at any time, with or without prior notice.

14. Severability

If one provision is held invalid or unenforceable, the remaining terms continue. The affected provision will be adjusted only to the extent needed for enforcement.

15. Questions

Questions about these conditions may be directed through the Contact page.
